PROMISELAND RELEASES NEW MIND-BENDING TRACK “3D FLOWER” FEATURING JULIAN CASABLANCAS
Today, Promiseland (AKA Johann Rashid) releases “3D Flower” ft. Julian Casablancas via Cult Records -- the second track from Promiseland’s upcoming debut album “Sad But Happy” (out October 20). Reminiscent of 80s synth-pop meets the early 2000’s, the track channels Promiseland’s distinct punk vocals, propelling beats, and poetic chants. The accompanying Grand Theft Auto-coded video finds the duo embarking on a chaotic mission in a virtual Fortnite-esque realm. Complete with sword fights, medieval knights, motorcycles, and a dance party, it’s a wonder how the two avatars have the HP to make it to the end! … or not, depending on how many lives they have!
About the track and video, Johann says, “I was in a session with producer Shawn Everett and we came across this bridge that I was working on for something else – we all stayed up till the early sunrise putting this one down – we quite possibly lost or minds. The video was inspired from a photo of Julian and I standing next to some motorcycles in London – the adventure starts there – enjoy the ride is all I can say.”
